Growth Hormone Support
for Children with Short Stature
Cheering on every child's
dreams and potential

Every child deserves equal
opportunities to grow

  • Treatment for short stature requires long-term
    growth hormone therapy.

So that no child misses their treatment window for financial reasons,
since 1995 the LG Welfare Foundation has partnered with
pediatric endocrinologists to provide growth hormone treatment to children from low-income families.

What We Provide

  • Growth hormone treatment

    Growth Hormone Treatment

Growth hormone treatment supports typical growth by replacing the hormone through injection when natural production is insufficient. Because oral forms are broken down by stomach acid, treatment is delivered by injection. For best results, it is administered nearly daily and used for a minimum of six months. Growth hormone injections are prescription medications and must be used under the diagnosis and prescription of a specialist.
  • Who can receive treatment

    Who Can Receive Treatment

Treatment for growth disorders tends to be most effective when started before puberty, at younger ages. Growth rate is the key indicator. It is helpful to track how much a child grows each year. In general, children whose height falls within the bottom 3% for their age and sex are considered to have short stature requiring medical evaluation.
  • About growth hormone medication

    About the Medication

Eutropin is a recombinant growth hormone formulation developed by LG Chem. Released in 1993, it now has a cumulative prescribed patient count of more than 30,000 and is prescribed at 136 general hospitals nationwide. It is a prescription medication with established efficacy and safety.
This program does not replace medical care; it provides medication support in line with a specialist's treatment plan.
